Championships 2009
Once again, titles were awarded to our teams at the
2009 Nationals.
Claddagh Dancer captures World Title
The Claddagh Irish Dancers captured 2 World Titles at the
2009 World Irish Dance Championships held for the first time in the United
States. Claddagh Irish dancers captured the 2009 Minor Figure and 2009
Senior Mixed Figure titles. This is the third year
that Claddagh has returned from the World Championships with a title. Last
year brought a title for the Junior Ceili team, and in 2007 Maggie Darlington
swept all major awards in her age group by winning the 2007 All Ireland
Championship, 2007 World Championships and 2007 North American Championships.
